AIRROC Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

AIRROC (the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies) is pleased to announce the election and appointment of 5 new members to its Board of Directors:

  • Frank Demento, Vice President, Unit Manager & Claims Counsel, XL Reinsurance America
  • Klaus Endres, President and CEO, AXA Liabilities Managers US
  • Mindy Kipness, Senior Vice President, Eaglestone, AIG, Inc.
  • Michael Baschwitz, Vice President and Head of the P&C Department, Centrally Managed Business, Zurich Insurance Group
  • John Bator, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Riverstone Resources

Mr. Demento, Mr. Endres, and Ms. Kipness, were elected by the AIRROC members and will serve three-year terms expiring in 2015. Mr. Baschwitz and Mr. Bator were confirmed to finish out the terms of two Directors (Peter Hirs, Zurich and John Parker, Riverstone) who resigned from the board due to relocation and retirement, respectively. AIRROC has a 15 person board which all serve three year staggered terms.

AIRROC Executive Director, Carolyn Fahey, commented that she is pleased to welcome these new directors. “I am very fortunate to have a hands on board to support AIRROC and my efforts and have no doubt that these 5 individuals will be a great addition,” commented Fahey.

AIRROC’s mission is to promote and represent the common interests of insurance and reinsurance companies with legacy business. The Association’s objectives include improving professional and managerial standards and practices and enhancing knowledge and communications within and outside of the run-off industry.
