Basics of Legacy Transactions (IBTs)

Presented in conjunction with the NextGen Task Force, AIRROC is offering a series of sessions explaining how legacy transactions work.

Over the past few years, US states have begun to add Insurance Business Transfer (IBT) or Division Laws to their laws and regulations.  These two types of transactions add to the tools that legacy companies can use to bring finality to their closed blocks of business. Our panelists have been involved first hand in these transactions.   They will provide an overview of the regulatory landscape, explain how they work, business motivations, and cover case studies of the process.  This session is good for those new to the industry as well as those that are more experienced and just want to learn more about how an IBT or a Division could benefit your company.
