Bad Faith: The Long and the Short of It

April 28, 2021
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM Eastern Time
REGISTER

AIRROC and Corporate Partners Husch Blackwell and Locke Lord present a somewhat unconventional update on bad faith claims. The discussion will provide updates on the latest cases and will take a look at various types of claims from emerging and emerged issues that could impact valuation of runoff blocks. From “long" tail claims such as sexual abuse and asbestos, to “middle” areas such as PFAS and climate change, to “shorter" tail issues such as COVID-19 and cyber.
Our panel will discuss potential and known factors where bad faith might come in as companies look at these claims. Overarching issues affecting claim exposure such as social inflation and plaintiff-friendly jurisdictions will also be addressed.

Panelists:
Chris Barth, Partner, Locke Lord LLP
Scott L. Davis, Partner, Husch Blackwell LLP
Molly McGinnis Stine, Partner, Locke Lord LLP
